The Production/Tour Coordinator at Sarasvàti Productions performed a play called, ‘Shattered’ for our grade 7 and 8 students. This play is designed to engage youth in discussion about mental health. What are the challenges for those with a mental health diagnosis, and what is needed to support recovery? Multiple stories depict experiences with the system, community response, internal struggles and ultimately the desire for understanding.
What makes this performance so
unique is that it allows students to share their thoughts and suggestions about
situations that are played out in front of them on stage. We had many students
participate on stage. We were very proud of all of our students during the
production.
CLASSROOM VISITS!
